Where can i find some good dropshippers to work with who ships to all Europe? Can you suggest some warehouse that works with Europe? If you are in Italy or Spain or France there are not good dropshippers so sometimes we use English dropshippers. Where can i find a good list of them? Thanks, Paul

Before we move onto dropshippers I recommend, I want to make some important points about them so that you’re fully aware of the negative side dropshipping involves.

Dropshipping idea is really great, no doubts about that! However, in real life everything is a little bit different. Here are the most common problems you’ll face:

    • Depending on the niche you’re working in, it will be a very difficult task to find just ONE, reliable & profitable dropshipper. Especially in the UK & Europe. (There are more opportunities in the US, so maybe it’s worth start looking into that market?)
    • Profit margins will be very thin. You see – if you buy directly from a manufacturer, there are only 2 involved parts. If you buy from a wholesaler – 3 parts. But if you use a dropshipper, in many cases there will be 4 parts involved which automatically means lower profit margins. Sure, there are manufacturers/dropshippers out there but not many.
    • Stock levels – even huge dropshipping companies won’t guarantee you that items you’ll sell, will always be in stock. Now, this is a real problem as you can ruin your reputation pretty fast if items are not in stock when someone buys them. Especially if you sell on eBay.
    • Reliability – Sure, everyone makes mistakes (even you) but at least if you’re the one who does it, you know who to blame! Using dropshipping companies, you’ll never be 100% sure that orders will be packed correctly, securely and sent to right addresses. Most of the time everything will be ok of course, but those individual occasions can badly affect your reputation. This is a serious issue to have if you guarantee 24h delivery for example and strive for an excellent customer support.

As you can see, dropshipping is not that simple
as it may seem in the beginning. Sure, it’s still a great start-up way for people with limited funds to invest in stock. Don’t get me wrong – it can be done! Millions of people are doing this already so there must be something to take from it. Just pay close attention to problems mentioned above and try to minimize risks as much as possible.

Now, I don’t know what products you’re looking for but I suppose you’re after branded electronics, video games, consoles & other hot selling stuff. There are 2 companies I have used in the past:

    • MK Enterprise – a HK based company offering wholesale & dropshipping. Specialized in digital cameras and camcorders but you’ll also find video games, consoles and other branded electronics. Negatives – HK based (high shipping costs + VAT issue), they accept only wire transfer as a payment method. Have heard some negative comments on the Internet about their customer support. With current GBP/USD rate, profits will be very thin.
    • Pixmania Pro – one of the Europe’s largest dropshippers. Based in France, Pixmania offers cheap & fast shipping throughout Europe.  Thousands of products to choose from. Negatives – you’ll need a VAT number. Prices may seem high if you plan to sell solely on eBay (don’t). Electronic products may come in FR specification (with plug adapters).

These are just 2 companies I have used in the past with great success. If you work with niche items, you can try to contact wholesalers and ask if they could offer a dropshipping service. Not many of them advertise this so it’s well worth asking.

Overall dropshipping can be a way to start your very own online business but you have to be fully aware of problems you’ll face on a daily basis. I still recommend getting into wholesale and buying stock directly from manufacturers or wholesalers as soon as possible and take care of shipping. A little bit more work involved but results will be well worth it!

    true that~!

I tried it myself in the past and it turned out to be very difficult. Especially on ebay, where you find a extremly competetive market. You better try to cut out as many middle men as you can. Try to start out with small items, if you do it right and have some luck you will soon be better than the dropshipper. Customers appreciate a certain basis on convinience while shopping. Slow delivery and no support could be some reasons not to but a product.

    Cheers

  2. Agree with you Phill.

These are the reasons why I’m not a big fan of dropshipping myself. I always recommend to go direct wholesale route as profit margins will be much higher plus you get a peace of mind.

And you make another great point – if your funds are very limited, just look for a niche with small, cheap products that you can buy in bulk with little investment.

  3. Hi Andrew,

For the reason the link of MK Enterprise you provided on the post is not working. :)

    Regards,
    Cassie
