Product Packaging – Easiest Way To Brand Products!
-
Hey Andrew!
I know that you’re good with all kinds of different branding strategies and general stuff related to product branding.
Can you give me some advice on cheap, easy ways to bring my brand to masses?
I import small, cheap products from China and sell under my own brand here, in UK. Problem is – not many people are aware of who we are., hence there’s no real added value to our brand.
Any tips?
Cheers,
Benjamin, UKHi Benjamin,
Thanks for your question.
Yes, you’re right – I’m quite good at product branding and for a very good reason – it makes me MONEY! A lot of money! Almost all my businesses are based around strong brands, created by myself. It’s much easier than you may think – especially if you’re doing business in a niche market as then you don’t have to create next “Sony” or “Amazon”.
So, you have a brand name, great looking logo – what next? I would start with product packaging! It’s the most easiest, cheapest way to brand your products without spending a fortune on it.
I don’t know what products you sell, but here are some simple product packaging concepts you could use:
* Clear bags, boxes, sleeves, tubes etc. - you simply put products in and attach label from outside. You can also get your logo screen printed onto this type of packaging. I use clear bags a lot and order supplies from ClearBags.com
* Blister type packaging – you can get these blisters from Mr Blister and easily assemble packages without any special machinery. This type of packaging is perfect for cables, audio/video accessories and similar products. Also, it’s a perfect packaging to show off your items in off-line world too!
* Cardboard boxes, envelopes – this would be perfect for bigger items, sets, kits and all kinds of different electronic devices. Only downside with cardboard packaging is that you’ll need to order at least 1000 pieces to make it worthwhile (price wise).
There are many companies in UK offering custom cardboard boxes manufacturing, here’s just one example:

Finally – if your products are very small and you don’t want to put them into any packaging, you can consider putting logo directly onto items. Read more about this technique in this article.
Thanks,
Andrew
