TOP 5 Ways To Find Profitable Niche Markets!
-
Hi Andrew,
Do you have any good, creative tips on how to find niche markets?
I have spent weeks on Google but have found only 2 or 3 niches.
Thanks,
DanHi Dan,
Thanks for your question!
Here are my TOP 5 Ways to find new niche markets:
1. Terapeak.com – in Terapeak you can do category search or simply browse through eBay product categories. What’s great about this is that you can see how “hot” or “cold” each product category is! This is a very good way to find hot niches and hot products on eBay!
2. Magazines – I love magazines! They’re great, cheap source for quality, niche related information. I would recommend you take a look at US magazine subscription sites, such as Magazines.com to get fresh, new niche ideas! And if you do find a good niche this way, make sure to subscribe to the magazine or order back issues to get some quality, niche related information.
3. Forums – another great way to find new niche markets as on forums you’ll most likely find groups of people with similar problems, hobbies or passions – exactly what you need to define new niche markets! If you can find a large group of people with some specific needs, you can simply help them out by offering products & services to solve their problems. For list of hundreds of forums, take a look at Big Boards website.
4. Alibaba – yes, even B2B portals, like Alibaba and Global Sources can be used to find new niche markets! Just by looking at all the products on sale there you can brainstorm some phenomenal ideas! Also, don’t forget that on sites like Alibaba you can often find top selling products as well as follow trends and new product development process.
5. Google Keyword Tool – finally, one of my favourite research tools! Using Google’s Keyword Tool you can analyse any product, product group or niche market by seeing exactly how many searches there are. You can even see product trends – which can be very helpful when deciding to move into a new niche – who wants to start working in a declining market?
Here you go – my Top 5 niche research tools! Yes, there’s no magic involved – only hard work and long hours in front of your PC!
When looking for niches don’t think much about them – just put any good ideas on the paper and once you have a list of at least 3-5, start doing research on them!
Hope this helps Dan!
Thanks,
Andrew
