What To Sell on eBay To Make Profit?

    Hi Andrew,

I’m really struggling finding products to sell on eBay to make profit…

In most cases, I just can’t compete with prices offered by other sellers (video games, software) or products are simply not selling at all (I tried to re-sell some un-branded clothing). I know that I should get your EAB course but I don’t have any spare money at the moment to invest…

Do you have any tips or advice for a person like me? I only have about 50 quid for stock so can’t afford to import from China or buy in real bulk.

    Thanks,
    Ben, UK

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks for your question.

You have to face the facts - 50 quid is not enough to buy wholesale unless you’re dealing with dirt cheap items (product price £0.10 – £0.50, re-sell for £0.99 – £2.99). So you have to use a different approach, different product sourcing strategy.

For example, one very simply & straightforward strategy is to buy used goods off eBay and re-list back for higher price. This way you can start with even £20 and make it a profitable business over time by re-investing profits back into business. I have covered this product sourcing method in detail in my EAB guide, but here are some key points:

    * Research first! If you can’t afford Terapeak subscription, use eBay’s Advanced search function and do calculations manually. You want to deal ONLY with products that are selling well.

    * Buy LOW sell HIGH! The lower the sourcing price, the more profit you’ll make! So learn product/niche you’re working with inside out to know exactly what a good buying price is.

    * Create outstanding Listings! This will be your secret tool to turn a £10 item into a £30 item! Take quality pictures, write good descriptions and use a pre-designed eBay template to create professional looking listings!

Once you earn at least few hundred pounds, you can switch back to wholesale again.

    Thanks,
    Andrew
