Where to Go for Wholesale Branded Electronics?

    Hello Andrew,

I have been trying to source products from Chinese and other companies but turns out that almost 98% of them are usually fraudulent or fake. Thank God I have been critical enough before indulging in any business with them any of them.

Again thanks to you because with the help of your articles on your forums, I happened to expand my awareness and now know why the only legitimate branded electronic products one can get from china are extremely hiked in their prices if not fake!

To my point tho, I am in a location that can’t favor any chances of doing business on eBay. I cant strike great auction deals from either Buying or Selling since most of them don’t support shipment to East Africa, and here is where I need your utmost help.

Should I get a third party to handle my eBay dealings or continue sourcing from other various B2B sites from where most suppliers can’t even be trusted. What should I shoot for?

Will be grateful for your outstanding help and advise.

    Thanks,
    Barack

    Hi Barack,

    Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what goods exactly are you trying to source but I guess we’re talking about BRANDED electronics, right? If so, please, PLEASE stay away from China!!! You can’t get genuine BRANDED goods in wholesale from there. You’ll get scammed or receive FAKES! Mainland China is only good for un-branded goods.

Honk Kong is a different story though – you can get genuine goods from there but again, be prepared for a lot of SCAMMERS and fake goods (like memory cards, headphones and similar hot selling products).

If you want to stay on the safer side, I would most likely look for a US based wholesaler – at least with US companies you can do some quality background checks and usually, with reputable companies you won’t have any problems.

As for the shipping - IF a wholesale company ships internationally, they’ll ship to East Africa – IF you pay in advance via wire transfer payment. They won’t take credit card for sure (at least for first few orders) as credit card payments can be reversed.

If that’s still not an option, you can use a MAIL FORWARDING company to handle all shipments without any worry at all!

    Hope this helps! :-)

    Thanks,
    Andrew
